It was ok, I didn’t personally pick up the rice note even a little. It was a good scent and I wasn’t horrified to wear it or anything, but I generally found it underwhelming. Very, very high alcohol content and it smelled a bit cheap

Dirty Rice is my first BTSO fragrance and it was love at first whiff! It immediately hits with spicy woody notes, and very subtle almond in the background. It is spicy, warm, and musky. Then it beautifully rounds up developing into the softest, milkiest, spicy rice. Kind of reminds me of 'arroz con dulce' (rice pudding). I love that its silky smokiness and subtle sweetness lingers throughout the day. It makes you feel sexy, indecent and mysterious like you're up to no good. Also it's very long-lasting!

Dirty Rice reminds me of sitting in an old-timy, unairconditioned church for too long. There's cedar from the pews and leather from belts, well-worn bible covers, and wallets as people pay tithe. The mixing of colognes and perfumes with sweat and rising heat. With a whisper of the old man who snuck in a smoke just before service started. The remanents of incense burned during more ceremonial services still clining to the walls and floor and an apparition of blooming fruit trees carried on a desperate brezze.It gives you the feeling of a horde of clean people being pressed tight together for too long. I swear I can almost hear the paper fans of sweaty ladies pushing the scent all around.

This is another one where I just don't get the hype. It sits well on my skin and lasts a good while before drying down like a clean sweater, but I never really get a true rice smell. I can smell what it's trying to do, but ultimately, it separated and smelled soapy and synthetic. Not at all what I was hoping for. Also, I wouldn't really call this one unisex either. Very feminine and hardly any masculine attributes whatsoever.

I was really looking forward to this fragrance based off of the scent notes and the reviews I'd read. I'm now convinced that I've either been shipped a sample vial full of rubbing alcohol or everyone who loves this scent has lost their minds.

I agree with all previous comments. I love this scent so much and I can’t describe it well, but it is warm and mellow like a hug. Will be stocking up on this because I can’t imagine going without it!

Beautiful, sweet, warm. I can smell this on myself for at least 10 hours after spraying & it clings to clothes pretty well. My first full bottle niche purchase after sampling so many different scents. My favorite from the BTSO Dirty & Sticky set. Bottle is a bit hideous for the price point - design definitely needs work.

My favorite favorite favorite. It's warm, sweet, but not nauseatingly so, and has pretty good longevity on me: I can smell it on my clothes still a day later. I like to spray this before bed and let it linger. Also I bought a full bottle after finishing up my atomizer sample from the BTSO set I bought - my first full size niche purchase!

I really liked this perfume! Very delicate, sweet, and warm. Kind of a cozy feeling. I just wish it weren't so faint!

I agree with a previous review. It's what I imagine my soulmate to smell like. It's homey, it's comforting, it's definitely a skin scent. I love sandalwood and if you do too, it's a great buy! Not to say it's straight sandalwood, but on me, it's the note that's shining through the most.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I have problem smelling anything with musk in it… Like I literally can’t spell it. Anyway, this one was decent but unremarkable for me and I didn’t buy the full bottle.

You know that feeling when you’ve met your soulmate? I’m not sure, but I imagine this is what it feels like. I got it blind buy, and I did lower my expectations cause I never hear people talk about this fragrance. But oh my gosh, as soon as I got it in the mail, I ordered another bottle. It’s a little lactonic, and you do get rice notes, but it’s so clean and beautiful. Strong but not offensive. I blind bought two more from this company too. I trust them with my soul, I swear.

I was on the hunt for more rice centered scents and this exceeded my expectations! It was a well balanced lactonic, powdery rice scent with a sweet cloud above it. The woods here definitely round it out better keeping it from being too cloying and the almond note is pretty loud, but I personally enjoy that. Will definitely be buying a full bottle of this!

This scent is lovely and hits the nail on the head as far as a milky, creamy rice scent. It's light and porridge-y, which is exactly what I'd hoped for. The only reason I didn't giive it five stars is because it doesn't last long and is a little too subtle. It's such a great scent and pretty unique (I can't think of one very similar to it), I just wish it hit harder and stuck around longer.

This is a soft white floral with a powdery feel from the orris that does suggest rice. It's a bit woody in the dry down, but quite delicate overall. Primarily a floral though.

I'm obsessed with this fragrance. It's creamy and musky and so so interesting. Also, I have a hard time believing anyone would find it offensive, it's just super likable and unique.
