Bohoboco Sea Salt Caramel: On paper, a sweet marine fragrance, with a very slight citrus. There’s a roundness to the scent that may be from the caramel. This one had the potential to turn to bathroom cleaner on my skin, and did. It was sweeter and less marine, generic in a light floral way. To its credit, it was less “bathroom cleaner” and more “bathroom room scent.” I blame the lemon and jasmine in the notes. Didn’t get any of the pink peppercorn, and the cedar was more support than an individual note.

I just got a sample of this today, so I can’t give the best review of its longevity, but after wearing it for a little while I really like it! I was afraid it would end up being very sweet because of the caramel and brown sugar, but to my delight it is not! It has the saltiness and slightly funky smell of the ocean, which is exactly what I was looking for. It has a slightly sweet and powdery note, but not too overpowering. It definitely reminds me of taking a walk by the beach. I would consider buying a full bottle when my sample runs out.

At first, I thought I liked this, but it comes off as very artificial. There is a saline note, but the rest smells like artificial red fruit flavoring. I detect no caramel at all, and reminds me of a drier sheet.

The description of the fragrance held a lot of promise; however... The opening notes are too sweet - more Coney Island cotton candy and taffy than distant boardwalk confections. It does soften in the dry down. To me this fragrance tends to feminine rather than unisex.
