I'm not head over heels for this one. For the first 5 minutes this is up in your face with ALL of the notes, not just the top notes. It then settles into a nice (but not me) mixture of honeysuckle, lilac, and cream. I like all of those notes and I can see a lot of people enjoying the soft creamy floral. It's just not an outstanding pick for me personally. I prefer Dragonfly (!!!), Bee, and Harvest Mouse most so far from the line. Sloth is pretty decent/different and I left a review for that. Medium projection. Longevity about 6 hours and then fades to a skin scent.

Very sweet honeysuckle forward scent! The fruits add a nice rich sweetness. Used my whole sample. Plan to purchase around spring!

I got a lot of fruits and florals in this perfume (stronger on the fruit) and I think this is definitely one of the less "weird" or challenging perfumes from the house. However, I just haven't really fallen in love with it. It's a pleasant scent and not overly potent, but (and I hate saying this) it just makes me think of fruity dryer sheets. I'll use up the little sample I have, but no plans to buy a bottle.

Of all ZOOLOGIST fragrances, this is my ABSOLUTE favorite. It's a truly lovely fresh floral. Every bit of spring.

I've been looking for a honeysuckle forward scent, and this is it! Growing up, we had a fence full of honeysuckle, and Hummingbird brought back that nostalgia for me. The opening is a blast of honeysuckle with some other florals in the background. It lasts forever, and becomes a warm laundry scent on the way down. It reminded me of a laidback Saturday afternoon, folding laundry outside with the sun shining bright. However, it can lean a bit strong, so just be careful of your sprays.

Honeysuckle, honeysuckle, honeysuckle! It's highly realistic, youthful, and pretty to smell. HOWEVER, this was also the fragrance that convinced me that I am just not a woman that enjoys most strictly-florals on herself! Also be aware that my husband smelt something completely different on the sillage; at a few feet's distance, he could smell the perfume, but he described it as cloying "grape cough syrup." He could only smell the florals when his nose was close to my wrist! On the right person with favorable body chemistry, this would be absolutely gorgeous.

Look, if you're looking for a honeysuckle fragrance, this is it. It's cloying but not too, sweet but not sickly, youthful but not childish.

I wanted to love this since I do love fruit and florals, but maybe it's a fruity floral for people who DON'T love them? it's perfectly nice but nothing special on me. I get a ton of honeysuckle that waxes and wanes around the threshold of cloying, then dries down to a gentle but unremarkable musk. Glad I tried but not worth a full bottle for me.

More feminine than most of the Zoologists tried so far (and I'm working my way through them, deciding on the full bottle choice). Definitely primarily floral, not fruity, green, woody or spicy. The honey notes are noticeable, too. Light, seamlessly blended bouquet...can't name the specifics, no one flower stands out...pleasant, rather modest projection, no screamer but lasts. Feels like a warm mid spring day in bloom. Makes you smile. A rare floral quiet enough for the office, too.

This fragrance is just plain pretty - and, as I attempt to describe it's personality, I find it is both gamine and elegant in equal measure. This fragrance is light without vaporizing in the first minute after it is applied. Nor is it overbearing;, it is complex without being inscrutable. Dedicated to the female in our midst.. Most enjoyable to wear.

After trying a small sample of this I ordered a travel size. Normally, I am not a floral perfume type of person. I wear a lot of Tam Dao and a few Diptique more woody fragrances but, this one is different. The florals and fruit here are so genuine. The way this perfume projects is middle of the road but, what a lovely projection it is! This is full bottle worthy but, I travel a lot so went for the smaller size. Another reason I went for the smaller size is that though this is a Canadian company based in Toronto, they are charging Canadians in U.S. dollars for this perfume which I find highly objectionable. For that reason I almost didn't order at all however, Hummingbird wouldn't allow me to take that stand. Yes, it's that lovely!

Absolutely beautiful fragrance. It is a well done sweet perfume without smelling like cheap candy or teenage. It smells so natural like fresh ripe just sliced open fruit sitting next to fragrant flowers placed outside on a sunny day. Just plain gorgeous. If you are into fruity sweet floral scents, definitely get a sample.

I just purchased a whole bottle of this and Nightingale after having purchased a whole set of samples from Zoology. I had to order off the Zoology website because lucky scent did not have it and I wanted to sample the whole line. Hummingbird reminds me of a what it smells like on my late evening jog in the Spring when the honeysuckle are in full bloom after a rain. Hard not to like. It's so sophisticated for such a sweet scent. When you read the notes my first thought was this is going to be too sweet but it isn't. It's gorgeous. Love Zoologist for being different.

Absolutely succulent. The cherries and pears are toothsome, and the flower notes, especially the lilac, make them drip. I would not call this a true floral, as the fruit notes play on an equal level with the flowers; it's a perfect balance between the two. I will be buying a fb.

Having just reviewed Zoologist's Bat, (it wasn't a pretty review nor a pretty scent), Hummingbird is delectable, scrumptious, heady, feminine, and everything I would want to wrap myself in. It's an uber floral but not candy sweet. nor does it have harsh notes. It has that thick, humid, lazy quality about it. Good god, this is yummy - and fun!

Hummingbird is indeed delicious, mouthwatering, everything in the above description. I have tried a few samples of Zoologist Perfumes recently and...... well the man is a genius. What a concept and the perfumes are stellar. I have a fondness for the "Spirit Animal" tradition.. that one has animal "helpers" to aid and strengthen a persons path in life... Hummingbird represents joy! And yes it delivers! Awesome scent, a MUST try!
