Many of you are already familiar with Knize Ten because it's a very important, groundbreaking fragrance from the early 20th century that introduced a lot of people to leather smells. So this is the less known Knize Two, which came out a few decades later. This is actually either late 70s or early 80s. I love this.

This is your classic fougere. So you're going to get the lavender, the cumin, maybe some clary sage, maybe some oakmoss, but it's really the violet that I love most in this fragrance. It just sings when I wear it.

Now, this gets compared to another fragrance that came out around the same time called Grey Flannel by Jeffrey Bean. I love that scent too, but I know that this is very close to the original formulation of Grey Flannel and I love it.

To me, it transports me. It's early 80s. I'm wearing an Izod Polo shirt and maybe some boat shoes driving around the south of France. I like to be there in my head. So check this out. Knize Two.

Got a sample of this, and I'm liking it lots. I get 1990s-flavored crisp green freshness (even though apparently it was launched in 1978), with soft, lovely, clean soapy/shaving cream-style florals. I notice violet among it, making it a touch powdery, but in a way I can totally dig (though I’m not usually a huge powdery-scent fan). I am quite quite fond of this.

This is lovely, just lovely. Opens with sweet sharp florals that are sophisticated and innocent at the same time. Good intensity, sillage and lasting power (fading seriously after about 7 hours). I guess a man could wear this, but to me it is really very feminine and full bottle worthy. Should be tried. How about getting Belle Epoch and Lady Knize, if they are anywhere near as good as this, they'll fly off the shelves!
