Here's what other people are saying about A La Rose...
Understanding the how and why behind this gorgeous, fresh rose perfume is important. It was originally created for the Japanese market where wearing strong perfume is a big no-no. It's light, fresh and most importantly, subtle for a reason. If you love a fruity, citrusy rose, try it. I love it in the summer.

Lovely, sweet, rich rose - for true rose lovers! Not powdery, but with a lovely glow of citrus. I'm puzzled to hear the word "mature" used, unless one meant "not for teens." A trace of violet reminds one of a fully blossomed rose. This is not a mere whisp of a rose, but a vase of the real thing. It's a keeper!

So full of rose! From start to finish, there's no doubt what you're experiencing - a vase full of Bulgarian, tea, and Turkish roses. A whisper of sweet violet and white musk exist to boost the glorious realism and extend the wearing time. It's not green nor weighed down by anything else. I can see myself wearing this year-round, except for that rare day over 105°.

Soft, rich floral rose. On me it's too grandma/someone else's grandma/maybe even a young grandma but I'm starting to get the sense that that varies by skin.

This is a lovely perfume, but with a somewhat dated finish. It starts with a nice mix of rose and jasmine, and a hint of gardenia. It is extremely feminine and nicely floral, but as it dries, you are reminded of older perfumes from 50 years ago. Imagine asking someone what they are wearing and being told it was a gift from their grandmother. It smells very nice, but it is very mature. I am now 43 and this is too dated for me. Still, very pleasant overall.

Rich, unremarkable but soft rose. Longevity is not great.

It's a very soft rose, which is exactly what I'm looking for! It smells like a concentrated rose water. Docking one star because the scent does not last long at all.

Wonderful delicate rose. This is not a fragrance that smells like your grandma's rose water perfume. This is a rose that suits every age, is modern, clean, and delicate. Thank you Francis, your creations continue to mesmerize the perfume world!

This is the softest rose perfume I've ever smelled. There are rose perfumes that are too commercial, the ones that are too "natural" and leaves nothing to imagination and the ones that are strong, bold and unique. A la rose doesn't belong to any of the three categories above. It is soft, floral, gentle, with a little orange in it, which lifts the perfume up. It is an intimate perfume for sure - don't expect others to smell it unless they share a very small space with you.
