Un Bel Amour d'Ete by Parfum d'Empire is a wonderful floral fragrance. It's primarily Champaca and Magnolia, Gardenia, Ylang Ylang. All of these florals can lean a little bit tropical. They're super heady and intoxicating and a little bit creamy. There's a quality to this that makes it almost smell lactic to me.

The vanilla and sandalwood in the dry down lend us a sweetened quality that allows it to sort of just melt into your skin. It's inspired by a passionate summer love so this calls to mind sort of the sun-kissed skin and warm days and just a sort of carefree element. I would recommend this for any floral lovers. It's even a little bit beachy. This is definitely not one to miss.

Cumin and turmeric can be such polarizing notes but there’s something very special about this. I agree with the below reviewer, despite the sweaty cumin opening the magic is in the DRYDOWN. Once it settles it has this warm, soft spicy, almost powdery quality and becomes more floral. I do get a hint of mushroomy gardenia in this, but it’s mostly yellow florals (ylang, champaca) shining here. The cumin is still there but it’s softer. Not quite sure of a FB just yet but I’ll def enjoy my sample.

Scrumdiddlyumptious! This scent is absolutely divine - I want to soak in a tub of it! It reminds me of the smell of the plumeria flowers in a private pool in a beach side resort in Bali after strong night winds. The white flowers are very forward, but it isn’t grandma-y at all. It’s warm and seductive, very evocative of the beach, and I can’t stop sniffing myself. I’ll be ordering 100ml tout suite!

I do not like cumin notes in perfume and when I tried this scent, I thought I would not feel any different. HOWEVER, I could not stop smelling myself and fell in love with the drydown. I love scents that take me on a journey between the top and base notes and this did not disappoint. This went from spicy to creamy and seductive and I love that juxtaposition.
