Here's what other people are saying about Akowa...
Ambered lime is just the tip of a truly bizarre iceberg of scent contradictions that keep me coming back for more, off balance and somehow mesmerised. This is animalic, certainly, but not in a way that's easy to place and utterly in a fashion that will be off putting to some. The vetiver leans towards the dry kind I've found in New Orleans, almost closet sachet like, very M/. It's spice-dry while simultaneously seeming marine. NOT aquatic, marine, with all the salt and body connotations that evokes. Honestly, this wears me more than I wear it, but I am fascinated by it, and the man who could pull this off . . . well, I'd be impressed.

As others have noted, this is a love-it-or-hate it scent, because the secret ingredient shares some interesting scent characteristics with...gasoline! In the best possible way, this has that tar-amber note that you get at the pump. It's framed by a collection of notes that are hard to imagine together without something this odd at the center, but that combine gorgeously for the cause. We're firmly in Etat Libre d'Orange territory on this one and I *love* it.

Omgoodness! Gentlemen, this is one of those fragrances that you're going to either like or dislike. Unfortunately for me, AKOWA let me down. This fragrance smells after a recently cleaned restroom with bleaches and scented multi-purpose cleaners. Maybe that's a good thing for some. Such a shame because I had high regards for this scent. This fragrance just didn't work for me. Don't let me discourage you all this just didn't fit my scent profile. It did last long ill give it that.

Pleasant enough, but nothing special. And I cannot identify all notes listed on it’s pyramid. This comes across as a citrusy vetiver, and that’s about it. Pass.
