Michael Nordstrand is the founder of Mythologist Studio™ and a singular voice in contemporary perfumery. His work is recognised for its balance of technical precision and emotional depth, rooted in a cross-disciplinary approach that unites art, history, and science. He holds degrees and certifications from Givaudan, ISIPCA, The Grasse Institute of Perfumery, and Cornell University, where his focus was on aromatic plants popularised during the Middle Ages. In 2025, Michael was named the winner of the Art and Olfaction Award for Bad Lily, and in 2024, he received the British Society of Perfumers Award for Patchoulÿ Tartessos.
