An irresistible ambery brew. Caravelle Epicée takes its name from the spice ships of long ago, but there is nothing remotely aquatic or damp here. This is heat and spice -- the dry interplay of pepper and coriander, nutmeg and tobacco, patchouli and precious sandalwood. Each one stepping forward and then receding as if you were being carried in a palanquin through an ancient market, passing the stalls of the spice vendors. Outside, there is chaos and danger and noise, but in your silk swathed cocoon of well-worn wood, none of it touches you. Safe and cozy, you move effortlessly though the whirlwind, the waves of exotic aromas washing over you in a dreamy haze, as the blazing sun warms you. A rich-as-cashmere comfort scent with an unpredictable streak that keeps it playful and seductive. We try not to play favorites, but this is our pick of the line.
