Noteworthy - Earthy Scents

Earthy Scents were requested and I was happy to tackle this feature as I absolutely love Earthy Scents. I love the feeling they give me. I think of Earthy Scents as damp, maybe green, there's a soil note or some patchouli which often conveys that feeling in perfume. I think walking through the forest in the fall with fog and rainy mist around you.

We have a couple examples here but there are so many more so you definitely should keep adventuring if you love this style of perfume, there are so many. Hair DC, Jorum Studio from Scotland, I think they would know damp and earthy. This has some beautiful brighter notes so there's a little guava that I find so invigorating, tart and juicy, there's a touch of floral in here. It's snappy and bright and green.

Musc Amarant by L'Artisan Parfumeur. This is an ode to beetroot. Think vegetable garden, beetroots, you're digging in the soil, your hands are dirty in this most beautiful, satisfying way, gardening. This has a little bit of musk and a hint of citrus, it's really refreshing but also very earthy.

Snowy Owl Zoologist is such a beautiful example of a slightly different interpretation of the same kind of feeling. Snowy Owl is meant to represent a snow-covered forest. Think silver and white, crisp, snowy, icy notes with all this green kind of buried underneath. This is damp and lush and gorgeous.

One of my new favorites, I've already talked about, Morel Map by Blue. This is damp earth, you're walking through the orchards and the forest, you're foraging for mushrooms, you're smelling the moss and the ferns and the damp dew on the ground.

And then finally, Tempo, a classic from Diptyque, a lot of us know and love Tempo. Tempo is a lovely interpretation of patchouli that is less sweet than a lot of them that have more vanilla, amber notes.
