I'll tell you a little secret, I have a fondness for rose fragrances. I have a rose tattooed on my arm and I like to spray it sort of like living scratch and sniff sticker. So let me go through some of my favorite rose fragrances on the shelf.
Kashan Rose from The Different Company is like walking through a rose garden on a summer morning. In addition to garden rose you also get peony, big fluffy pink peonies and a touch of pink pepper which gives it just a little bit of a buzz and some life.
If there's such a thing as being drunk from roses I would say love kills, this is close as it gets. This is a heady intoxicating Turkish rose with spices and patchouli in the base.
Rose Highland from Jorum recalls the rugged coastlines of Scotland. In addition to the rose you get clove and saline notes from the sea. Completely unisex, I think Rose Highland is very unique and is worth trying if you love roses.
I love wearing radical rose but it's not really what you think if you're expecting to just smell a big bouquet of roses on your skin. It is that but if I also called it a patchouli fragrance that's also valid. This is in fact a rose sheep. It's a more formal opulent fragrance and lasts forever.
If you're a big fan of say Portrait of a Lady from Frederic Malle then this is definitely something to consider.
