Luckyscent Videos: Eau d'Italie - Jardin du Poete Eau de Toilette

Jardin du Poete is one of my all-time favorite green scents. It's done by Eau d'Italie and the perfumer Bertrand Duchifor is behind it. It's a beautiful evocation of a garden. It has some fruits, some herbal notes, some floral notes, and a beautiful earthy base.

I love the opening with the blast of citrus that you'll get surrounded by herbal notes. It's green orange, bitter orange, sweet orange. There's grapefruit, pettigran, blackcurrant. It's mouth-watering to even list these notes. And then it's got an angelica, basil, and bay kind of tying it together.

To me, the opening has a crispness but also a real strong green that feels almost like tomato stem and mint next to each other in a garden vegetable bed. And then as those notes soften, there's a beautiful floral heart that lingers on my skin for several hours.

Ultimately, the base is a beautiful hay. There's hay, moss, and immortelle. It's slightly sweet and ever so slightly warm. So it feels like there's an element of heat. I feel like the sun beating down in the garden in summer and there's just a touch of dew still burning off.

And it's so beautiful. I recommend this to anyone. It's definitely gender neutral and perfect for any age. It's a pleasure to wear, so try this out.
