I'm a big fan of Willows by Regime des Fleurs. I love this because it is an iris mimosa combination. First of all, mimosa is a difficult note to find featured in perfume. It's so beautiful, so refreshing and delicate and springy summery. And also the combination of the mimosa with the iris I find novel, refreshing and comforting.

Generally iris for me is a very elegant, almost austere note. It's got the sort of waxy earthiness of the oris butter and then this elegant nobility. What happens here though with the mimosa, it comes more down to earth. And I find that this is a beautiful spring summer option.

Another thing I love about Willows is the base. It has a rye note along with a carrot seed. The combination of those two notes, the sort of buttery carrot seed and the powdery rye give it an almost gourmand quality, almost like someone's baking bread, a floral bread. And it's so unusual yet comforting and beautiful.

And then what happens, when I first spray it on, I get a fresh touch of that earthy waxiness of the iris and a sort of fresh picked mimosa. But that freshness softens to a dry, bone dry, velvety, feather weight powder that I find wears more subtly than most powder scents. Most powder scents feel a little like makeup or perfume. So I find that this is a very subtle powder option.

I feel like this would be actually great for men too, a floral that men would wear as much as women and a subtle powdery scent for everyone for all seasons.
