Matcha Soft Serve

I make matcha lattes for work and for myself every day! I was really excited when people were saying it smelled like photorealistic matcha powder, however I would have to disagree!I was expecting of more of an earthy, nutty, umami-type scent that good quality matcha powders smell like, but this fragrance was so sweet and sharp to me! It smells EXACTLY like Ace Creamery’s Single Serve Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream—the ones you’d get for desert at a sushi restaurant!I wanted something less bright with a subtle sweetness, but it smells exactly like it says it does—a matcha soft serve. Just not the quality, house made kind, if you know what I mean. It’s still powdery, astringent, and delightful though! I’m just a matcha snob!

I agree with most of the reviews, this does smell like straight matcha powder and it's lovely. My skin's chemistry tends to skew scents and I generally have to prepare myself for things to not smell as listed, but this one definitely reads earthy, matcha powder on me. I like to mix with Bianco Latte by Giardini di Toscana or Vanilla Vice by Snif to give it a sweeter, matcha latte feel. Very yummy.

This is unexpected and insanely good. I get the matcha right off the bat, not a bright green or astringent matcha but the smell of a really good matcha powder before you whisk it in, that rich almost earthy smell. That quickly mellows to the vanilla, but I also feel like I got a jasmine note on my skin. I'm not usually a floral gal but I really adored that combination. The vanilla lasted longest. I plan to buy this as a full bottle. Simply divine.

Got a sample and I really like it. It’s a little “seaweed” like but not in a bad way. Kinda like warm matcha, then the milky vanilla comes in. This is very unisex. Soft to moderate projection, last 4-6 hrs. I have a good assortment of perfumes, but this is different from anything I have.

I absolutely LOVE this. I get the earthy matcha at first then it turns into this creamy delicious latte like scent.

Let's get one thing straight: there's no matcha in this. At all. So either our good friends put the wrong juice in my sample vial or people are kidding themselves about this fragrance. It's very sweet. Cloying, in fact. But its primary scent is powder. It's positively elderly. I miss my nana terribly but I do not want to smell like her closet. Scrubber.

I’ve been looking for another gourmand matcha scent so I don’t use all of my discontinued Matcha Meditation. The opening of d’Annam's is much greener, brighter, with an earthy astringency, but the dry down is similar to Maison Margiela's.

This is the perfect, powdery matcha scent. A bit green, a bit nutty, with a drop of vanilla. One of the most accurately described gourmands I've ever tried. The drydown later evolves into something more floral, but still very matcha forward, and I do get a hint of salt? I will disclose that this is NOT a sweet gourmand. I think people may read waffle cone and vanilla and expect sugar somewhere and there is none of that. Lovely for beginners in fragrance just because it's relatively uncomplicated. A safe blind buy for matcha fans!
