Like their previous thundering success, Dmitry Bortnikoff and Rajesh Balkrishnan combine the finest and rarest absolutes from all over the world to create an incredible red floral dream. The perfume opens with delicious aromatic notes of luscious pink grapefruit, Tahitian vanilla flower and dreamy Indian jasmine sambac. The heart contains the finest Himalayan pink lotus absolute and white Thai lotus infusion. The perfume settles on a powdery bed of red Siam benzoin crystals, exotic Dragon’s Blood incense resin from Yemen and a mixture of Mysore and Indonesian sandalwood. An exercise in perfume creation like no other where Bortnikoff carefully created special infusion extracts of the lotus and jasmine with sandalwood for making this dream scent. Absolutely unique and resplendent like a shimmering ruby with even the perfume description embossed in 24 karat gold on the bottle, Santa Sangre is an infusion of new blood designed to bring peace and happiness in today’s troubled world.

A scent that takes you on a spiritual journey and only comes around once in awhile. Soft, delicate, mysterious, with beautiful nuances; A perfume with true originality. Santa Sangre is definitely a fine example of what niche perfumery is all about.

Gentle. Subtle. Classy. Night out. I wouldn't use this as an everyday scent, but anything's possible (bartenders?) Smells like an Old Fashioned with Rye whiskey, bitters, sugar, and orange zest. Behind that, I get a very slight powdery incense that isn't overpowering. Unisex. It's good. Worth a try and sample. I probably wouldn't get a full bottle. 6.5/10

Beautiful beautiful fragrance. Very easy to wear and at first in the heat I loved it but now that the snow is on the ground I love it even more. Such a nice creamy inviting sandalwood and with the florals and I think grapefruit it just makes it wearable really anytime of the year. Complete win for the house

Dmitry Bortnikoff and Rajesh Balkrishnan have again created a masterpiece. Sayat Nova is one of my all-time favorites in my collection. Santa Sangre is also in my Pantheon but for different reasons. This new scent is ground-breaking, a Ying yang, oxymoron that promotes harmony, freshness, and subtle yet lasting sensations throughout it scent journey. The ingredients are all exceptional, they are blend perfectly, and the overall effect is hard to put into words. it transports me upward in ways almost no other fragrances has. It’s a paradigm-shifting scent that will be talked about for decades to. try this transcendent beauty. Unisex, with moderate to strong silage and strong longevity. Subtle, nuanced, could be worn any time or season.
