Here's what other people are saying about Sequoia...
Not just an amazing rendition of a living redwood -- it’s a woodsy scent without a hint of sandalwood or patchouli, amen. (Or sawdust, a less common note that still feels a little overdone lately.) Cedary, as redwoods are, and a touch creamy during drydown, which may be that jasmine note on its best behavior. Uncompromising, smart work here.

I love the redwoods so I was hoping this would miraculously be my favorite scent ever. It's not. It's nice! Has kind of a cedary/redwoody, resinous, raisiny depth to it. A little mossy too. Reminds me of a brunello. So another well executed concept but not my heart's song.

Happy to say this Sequoia in new (to me at least) packaging is just as fantastic as the old Sequoia. It's foresty, yes, as in the description above, but the non-wood ingredients add complexity. It is a highly unique woody fragrance that also has subtle gourmand, floral, and boozy qualities. Good sillage. One of Duchaufour's masterpieces.

for anyone wondering, this new olfactory library version of sequoia seems unchanged from its red series counterpart. its been a few yrs since my old red bottle was used up. finally reuniting with sequoia they smell the same. i dont notice any difference in sillage either. however, the amount to price ratio is different ! lol
