Here's what other people are saying about Swan Princess...
I love this fragrance house and there are elements of this fragrance that I really like. I realize this is marketed towards women, but the musk notes really seem to work with my skin. I don't wear it on it's own, I layer it with another fragrance. I love the longevity and it projects well without being overpowering. Now, what I don't like. Like a lot of other reviewers, the dry down is a little bit too powdery on it's own. If you don't care to layer fragrances together, this may put some people off. Swan Princess is not my favorite from the Vagabond Prince and I don't dislike it, but I'm not madly in love with it either.

Just ick. No second chances--just threw it out. Made me sad because I'm mad for Enchanted Forest. But not THIS one!

Starts off smelling almost identical to Flower by Kenzo with its sweet violet floral and tons of powder. Dries down to baby powder, sickly-sweet violet, and sharp, soapy aldehydes. It's simple, flat and unpleasant.

Violet sherbet, and delightful. It's a clean, white, violet-tinged cloud; long-lasting and easy to wear.

Violet. Violet and baby powder and aldehydes and violet violet violet. It's old-fashioned and very pretty.

I had to make sure I was wearing the right sample, and re-read the description on this one. I simply do not get any complexities, and agree that it smells like something a great aunt might have worn back in the day. BTW, I am 51, and it smells too old for me. It is like a cross between something really dated and baby powder. Next!

Good sillage, but no fairy tale quality to the scent itself, rather reminiscent of classical perfumes for older women (50+), not very youthful. Kind of flat and monochrome. A bit disappointing really.

I just received the sample after being very impressed with the reviews. I have to say that the scent is nothing like I expected. If we put aside the fact that the sillage is good, the scent itself has a me-too quality to it, reminiscent of classical perfumes for older women (50+). I failed to smell the originality or the fairytale quality described. Disappointment :-(

I like this a lot. It is much better for me than Enchanted Forest, which was just too much fruit juice and fairly one-dimensional. This is much more suited to my taste with sweet mimosa. It is well-blended and the notes really compliment each other. It reminds me of many other classic powdery perfumes such as Ombre Rose, but it is equally as nice and retains a unique quality. Great to cuddle up to this winter.
