This perfume is one of the most beautiful scents I have ever put my nose on. If you are a lover of iris, tea, rose, or violets, Niral is a must-try. It isn't the normal rose-violet powder essence, it's more like a iris-rose-tea-violet veil. Violet is not listed as a note, nor is it a primary accord here, but I detect something like it. Niral is beautifully blended - seamlessly blended. It also reminds me of Mohur, but vaguely lighter, more iris and tea like. It's just spectacular.

Niral is like a violet version of Mohur's rose jam. I don't see violet among the notes, so perhaps it's the iris blended with the wine lees that lends it a violet-liquor succulence reminiscent of good elderflower cordial. The description likens it to silk, and silky it is, but also bright and merry and warm and effervescent, though not aldehydic. It makes me happy the same way Caron Aimez-Moi does: it smells like the moment the sun comes out on a cool, overcast day. The leather grounds it with the same sophistication characteristic of all the NVC scents. A keeper.

Serenity in liquid form. Pure, elegant, sophisticated, refined. Iris, sandalwood, cloudy warmth, fine powder, an enveloping calm aura, much needed these days. Niral' is a somewhat interesting soft feminine floral creation by Neela Vermiere and Bertrand Duchaufour centered around a central note of iris. The Iris is surrounded by a variety of floral and woody notes with a middle consisting of pepper, tea, rose, green leaves, angelica, ambrette, cardamom, and leather. It finally dries down into a powdery base of magnolia, jasmine, sandalwood, and cedar with the prominent iris note. This is sweet and pleasing but unfortunately not very unique or unisex at all. The scent is blended well and has a pleasing moderate projection/sillage and moderate longevity. Recommended for Neela completists only and not a place to start with this brand as this is one of their weaker offerings.

If you are sensitive to Iso E Super, you may want to avoid Niral. Though Iso E isn't listed as a note, the blast of burning raw alcohol I get from this fragrance tells me that this or something like it is at work here. Beyond the chemical assault I can tell Niral is characteristic of Neela Vermeire creations, and it will probably be beautiful to the lucky folks who don't share my inconvenient sensitivities. If you are sensitive, definitely sample before buying.
