Oud Silk Mood - Extrait de Parfum

This fragrance has been on my wish list for a long time and I finally got around to buying a full bottle. Admittedly the price has held me back. I have sampled this one on numerous occasions. Rose/Oud combos have been done to death. But Francis Kurkdjian really nails it. This is a POWERHOUSE of a perfume and the scent is beautifully intoxicating. If you're a chronic over sprayer like me then tread carefully here. If you go crazy the trigger you will gas out everyone around you. I use about a half spray on each of my wrists and that is it. That little bit of perfume will create a fairly large scent bubble around you and people will notice. And that little bit lasts on my skin for a good 10 to 12 hours.

I agree with Peter's assessment of this stuff. There is NOTHING "light and airy" about it, to my nose, sorry. But I could be wrong, when you consider there are all kinds of scents, made and sold, all over the Middle East, that make this particular fragrance, smell like air. But Ive never smelled those incredibly niche scents....so, I would have to say, this perfume is among the VERY strongest, Ive encountered. I have Amouage Library Opus V & VI, in my collection..and both of them are extremely heavy. This would join them, in beauty and strength, easily.

Fantastic frag, but "light, airy"? Maybe if you live inside a volcano. This stuff is a beast-mode rose-oud if there ever was one. Not for the faint of heart.
