Scent Bar Staff Video Review for Mal-Aime

Video Transcript

This is Mal-Aime from Parfum d'Empire. Mal-Aime means poorly loved or neglected. And I have to admit I neglected this scent when it first came out. I first sniffed it and I thought, oh, it's a nice green herbaceous fragrance. And I thought, I've got Corsica Furiosa from the same brand that really hits that spot for me. It's one of my favorite green fragrances.

But upon smelling it again more recently, I realized I didn't get this scent at all. Sure, there are great green notes. You're supposed to think of an abandoned lot with some weeds coming through, but it's this violet leaf that really sings on my skin. I love this. A little touch of soft leather as well. Maybe a little bit of patchouli in the base, which gives a great structure.

This is super elegant. And I know that I'm going to be wearing this a lot. This is Mal-Aime from Parfum d'Empire.

WOW this is unique. It's a safe blind buy for women and something men can wear too. It has a floral quality without being floral. It's a green/vegetal fragrance without any bitterness. A must try for anyone interested in niche fragrances because its totally unique without being weird or strange and totally wearable. I can't imagine anyone not liking or appreciating this.

Upon smelling the just opened sample vial, I thought it seemed very vegetal-- but on my skin, that vegetal note fades fast and then I get a very nice green/floral scent unlike any before. Very balanced, with no off chem notes at all- lasts quite a while, and never gets tiresome.
