Here's what other people are saying about Itasca...
Amazing spicy fougere! Smells like a power fougere from the 80's.So underrated. Very long lasting!

Does smell like a bright forest; a bit too alcoholly for me to give it five stars though. Great summers scent.

Several of my samples seem to be what Senior Citzens use, including this. Grampa at Xmas ,He's Worldly and refined.

I've been enjoying playing around with a lot of quirky "niche" blends recently, and while this has been fun for me (though often maddening for the missus), I have often found myself enjoying the creativity and artfulness of a fragrance while simultaneously wondering when in the world I could actually wear it. Lubin's Itasca is the exact opposite experience. I can easily see myself wearing this every day in fall/winter months, as easily as I can see myself pulling on my favorite cable knit sweater. This is a relaxed yet elegant fragrance that beautifully evokes the woodsy outdoors (without making you literally smell like a forest, as some Slumberhouse blends will do). This is a masculine fragrance, but effortlessly and subtly so... it's not at all confrontational. The woody, juniper and amber/resin/incense notes do a great job of balancing the vetiver (maybe even concealing it until well into the dry-down), but never push this over into Oriental category. It's clean, almost on the edge of soapy, but in the best way possible. My wife says she wants me to smell like this, and I imagine a lot of women would give their men similar input. I'll venture a guess that as this gets sampled by more folks, the biggest complaint will be that it is in no way "revolutionary." Which is true, everything going on here has likely been done many times before. And yet, I can't name another fragrance that Itasca "smells like." It reminds me of lots of other things (all good ones), yet establishes its own identity well... sort of like a more warm, cozy and golden version of the original Bvlgari Pour Homme (which remains a favorite everyday wear for me in Springtime). It's also not overpowering in its intensity, so you can give yourself a good spritz without worrying about driving people out of the room. I'll need to wear it once more before I decide to commit to a full bottle, but I have a strong inclination that this great-looking bottle will be on my dresser within a couple of weeks. Well done, Lubin!

Itasca State Park is one of my favorite places to be. There is something very mystical about standing there in the headwaters, using the rock bridge to walk across the Mississippi where it is gentle and unassuming. I think this fragrance does a good job of capturing the essence of that amazing Minnesota pine forest. It's refreshing and unassuming and an, "Ahhhh" moment.

Itasca is the best of three new masculine scents by Lubin. It lives up to it's description by LS well. The red pine is such a warm and cozy note, it makes me want to play in the snow and then come in and bathe in the stuff! Quite a beautiful, easily worn fragrance.
