Here's what other people are saying about Vanille Fleurie de Tahiti...
This fragrance was a lovely surprise as it had a very feminine aroma that settled onto my skin. It smells like a very strong vanilla at first, but when it settles it smells powdery with a warm amber. It has a beautiful vanilla sweetness, but not too potent. There is a little floral but does not over power the vanilla. Then the final scent I get is a hint of incense. Not too woody or burnt but in a unique way. Try the sample you will not be disappointed if you are a vanilla lover.

I am better than Vanille Abricot, I'msimular but not as candyish and I'm cheap and I last a good while...if vanilla is what you want then just pick me already!

People ALWAYS ask what smells so good when I wear this. I also always get comments like "why do I smell vanilla". I have never had a negative reply wearing this. The staying power is terrific, at least on me. Favorite of the line.

Very soft, a bit too floral for me, staying power is not very good, can be tried by "floral with a hint of vanille" lovers...

A massive disappointment. When I first put on my co-workers were constantly asking what sort of dietary supplement I was drinking. That was my perfume I admited. After the drydown I could smell dirty diaper as well. Fake vanilla.

The bottles from sephora have an exp date for sept 08. Read your bottles and if you go to the the La Maison de la Vanille website you will notice that they have new bottles. That is probably why Sephora had the mark down. To play it safe I would ask any etailer if you will be receiving the new bottle. Who wants a nearly exp fragrance anyway? I am a fan of all their fragrances Tahiti is my favorite and if I had to do without one it would be Antilles. If anyone knows if there has been a reformulation, please let us know.

I love this perfume!!! I have worn it for a couple years and I hate it when I run out!!! I love vanilla and when I wear it people always ask me what I am wearing. I tried the other vanilla scents but this is my favorite!!!

Mostly musk, with an underlying blend of vanilla and headachey florals. It's attractive in its own way, but I also don't feel particularly excited about it. I will say that it's more palatable once it's dried down. I am reminded too much of Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace for this to be worth the price, though.

the BEST. smells nothing like cough drops, as the woman below stated. is more than just plain, boring vanilla. smells of true vanilla extract with a strong base (amber?), not too girly, just the right blend and LASTS!! can't stop spraying, everyone loves it and wants it as well. ENJOY!

I totally agree with Lisa from Loves park. This definitley reminded me of something I'd smelled before - cough drops!! I guess it's a good thing it doesn't last.

Hmmm....This smells like a honey lemon cough drop on me. I also smell a distinct baby powder note. Not very vanilla like in my opinion. Not exactly what I was anticipating from the description. Doesn't last either.

Love this fragrance. Been using it for over 2 years. I'm a *vanilla* lover. Great for summer.

NOT a big deal!!! this is a complicated/muted vanilla that at first spritz leaves one wondering WHERE IS THE VANILLA? i prefer the comfort of a creamy, rich, sweet vanilla that conjurs comparison to hot cupcakes out of the oven...i do not enjoy mingling flowers and musks with my vanilla! this scent is nothing special,i will stick with comptoir sud pacifique, yes their bottles of magical vanilla concoctions are more expensive, but you cannot put a price on the quality and perfection...

a super fine vanilla, very good staying power. i love to smell this on myself...and i'm sure others do too. i pretty much smell mostly vanilla...but it is a more complex vanilla since it does have other notes in it. you can't not smell good when u wear this. not overly expensive either. a winner all around!

The Tahiti is my favorite. I always get compliments where ever I go. It has a clean, true smell and it is sweet. It's never offensive-and best of all my husband says it smells sexual. It fades to a lighter smell through the day, but I know people can still smell it-hence all the compliments. My favorite of all Vanilla's, and I've tried a lot.

Just today, 4 of my co-workers walked by me and kept saying how something smelled so good and sweet!! They thought it was cookies or cotton candy... little did they know that it was my perfume!! I get a lot of compliments on this perfume- I LOVE it!

A nice fragrance for a girly, young lady. Leaves a bit to be desired for adults. Very sweet, but not too much so.

I just got the Tahiti scent in the mail and I already love it! It has a very sweet vanille scent with a lingering dash of baby powder to soften it. I feel this is one of those scents where you will either absolutely love it or absolutely hate it. If you want to feel like your in a tropical place and you like sweet scents, then this is the perfect scent for you. Five Stars...I love it!!

Just bought the Tahiti, and to me, this is a lighter, more powdery version of Mexique. However, I do smell quite a bit of vanilla with this one, while the Mexique smells more woodsy to me. Tahiti also lingers slightly sugary, if that makes any sense--very sweet and sexy! This will be a great summer scent, so different from the candy-ish perfumes a lot of people wear this time of year!
