Luckyscent Videos: Poeme de Sagano - Ella K

The perfumer Sonia Konstan was inspired by a trip to Sagano, Japan. It's outside of Kyoto, and it's famous for a very large bamboo forest. She was describing all of the shades of green that she saw while visiting this forest, and she tried to capture it in this fragrance Poeme de Sagano, and I think it's such an accomplishment.

There are these wonderful green notes like bamboo, mate, eucalyptus, but at the heart of this fragrance is a very juicy yuzu, which just gives it such a wonderful, refreshing vivacity. The first time I wore this fragrance, I thought I was smelling suede in the dry down, but I was also wearing a suede jacket, so I thought, well, it's probably the jacket that I'm smelling.

But it turns out I get that same effect no matter what I'm wearing, so I'm going to say there's a suede dry down to this scent. It's unexpected and very beautiful.
