Shelf Tour - Creamy, Powdery

Transcript

Hello everybody. Today we're going to talk about the creamy powdery shelf. I think the way that this adorable shelf looks really captures the way that a lot of these fragrances smell. I think almond, violet, heliotrope, iris, a lot of musks.

So let's talk about some of my favorites. Today I'm actually wearing L'eau de Liesse from Courreges. This is such a unique and fun powdery fragrance. It's got a little bit of a sweetness. There's definitely a lot of iris in here and then they also list a macadamia nut note and I think describing it as a macadamia nut note as opposed to like an almond note or something like that really captures the kind of buttery essence that this fragrance has.

Mallow from Sora Dora has really been a hit at the store since it came out. This is so fun because it smells kind of cute. It's very fluffy and sweet powdered violets. But then it's contrasted with this really unique freshly cracked black pepper accord that just gives it a really unusual edge.

Pure eVe from The Different Company is one of my favorite fragrances on this shelf. I think this is one that kind of flies under the radar, but the people who know this fragrance really, really love it. This is another kind of almondy fragrance. It's very light, fluffy almonds, but it doesn't really smell as gourmande as some of the other almond fragrances in the shop. This is kind of aldehydic and soapy. It lasts forever. So despite being really, really fresh, this sticks around.

Celeste from Giardini di Toscana, you probably know this line from one of their other fragrances, Bianco Latte, which has been an absolute sensation. Celeste is another really popular scent of theirs. This is powdered sugary violets with raspberry and a kind of salty marine accord. If you're a fan of sweet, powdery scents, definitely check this one out.
