Luckyscent Videos: Neroli Botanica - Essential Parfums

Neroli Botanica is a lovely new orange blossom fragrance from Essential Parfums. The perfumer behind the scent is Anne Filippo, who has also made some really iconic contemporary fragrances and plenty of really beloved niche scents as well. Chances are you've smelled a lot of her fragrances before. This is a really naturalistic kind of androgynous woody orange blossom fragrance. I think it really captures the smell of orange blossom out in the wild.

There's a little bit of a subtle sweetness in here but really only in the way where it captures that smell of warm blossoms in the air. This smells like a sunny summer day to me. There's a little bit of a ginger note at the beginning that does give it a zesty brightness, although they don't actually list any citrus notes in here. So this is going to smell a little different than some other really popular orange blossom fragrances like Neroli Portofino from Tom Ford.

I would say it's also slightly different from Neroli Oranger from Matier Premier, which is one of our most popular orange blossom fragrances. That one is a little more musky clean orange blossom whereas this one is a little bit more light airy woody. Although this is a relatively soft and naturalistic scent, it does project beautifully. Just this morning I was going to get a coffee and both of the people working at the coffee shop asked me what I was wearing, which doesn't happen that often with light scents like this.

I've been really impressed with this. They also have changed the bottle slightly. It's this really beautiful kind of embossed label now. I just think it's such an elegant scent and I will be wearing this a lot.
