Luckyscent Videos: Hayal - Katana

Every now and then you come across a new fragrance and you just stop and you think, wait, what was that? So that happened to me with Hayal from Katana. This is such an interesting floral. I've literally never smelled anything quite like this.

So the florals are Jasmine and Lily of the Valley. It's a heady white floral, almost reminiscent of Gardenia in my opinion. But what makes this fragrance so fascinating is the base. Katana lists notes like Tonka and Vanilla as being in the base. But let's face it, when you smell this, you get an uncanny smell of basmati rice. That beautiful, warm, nutty basmati rice.

Who knew that it paired so perfectly with a heady white floral? This is fantastic. And it's not only perfect for floral fans, but even for gourmand fans. It doesn't go full on edible, but you definitely get this like yummy warmth at the base.

I really can't recommend more highly Hayal from Katana.
