Luckyscent Videos: Fragrance du Bois - New York 5th Avenue

Fragrance du Bois is a brand truly synonymous with luxury. These fragrances are made in Grasse, the home of perfumery in the south of France, and a lot of them feature oud, sometimes in very subtle ways and sometimes more dominant ways.

In this case, 5th Avenue, New York 5th Avenue, it's a very subtle use of oud. In fact, the main note of this scent is rose, and the rose is framed by just a touch of oud, but mostly cashmere wood and sandalwood. It's beautiful. I want to say that there's some patchouli in here. I don't think patchouli is listed, but I know that effect when rose and patchouli are combined. It's one of my favorite chords, and this seems to have it.

This definitely recalls old-school glamour. And even though it's kind of a powdery rose, I'm not going to strictly say that this is a feminine scent. I'm very happy to wear this, and I would call it unisex. Mind you, old-school, glamorous unisex. Check this out. New York 5th Avenue.
