Lilac no.4

I have a big lilac tree in front of my house and always enjoy bringing a branch to my nose and can never get enough of the smell. So when I read the reviews for this fragrance, I thought I should try it. I would not call this a true lilac scent like one reviewer claimed. Maybe there is a 'hint'? of lilac in it but it finishes so abruptly and doesn't offer the lingering or the sweetness of true lilac. Frankly, it's like the lilac is missing. I thought I could smell cucumber! It could almost be a unisex fragrance in my opinion. That being said I like it a little, but it didn't blow me away.

I've been looking for a lilac that was realistic, but not bogged down by other added florals scents like violet or orris root. I wanted a simple scent that some people are afraid of, thinking all perfumes have to be concocted of 27 ingredients and very complicated. This is a simple, beautiful lilac scent that has a nice medium sillage and wears for about 6 hours. It's lovely and comfortable. Exactly what I wanted for a very warm summer day.
