You may have heard of Maison Mataha because of their first fragrance, Escapade Gourmand, which was a huge hit. They followed it up with Brownie Pop, which is meant to evoke the smell of brownies fresh from the oven.

I really get that sort of toasted baked quality. It smells sort of like the burnt edge of a brownie. There's melted dark chocolate accompanied by a caramel popcorn note, which I think we've been seeing a little bit more in Gourmand perfumes lately. It gives it a sort of playful and fun salty buttery quality.

This dries down to a vanilla and sandalwood. The sandalwood is often really lovely in Gourmands. It has a very cozy and enveloping warm woody element. Definitely check out Brownie Pop by Maison Mataha.

I love anything chocolate but this was a bit too sweet in the beginning notes but there is a nice vanilla-ish dry down. Not my favorite.

Got this scent in a sample and didn't like it initially because when you first spray it the popcorn note is very prominent which is a pro if you like a popcorn scent, but I do not. Once it dried down though.....WOW, there is a yummy warm chocolatey caramel note left, very tasty! Not overly sweet, imagine walking past a bakery with the window open. The popcorn scent moved into the background and left me smelling super edible!

One of my most complimented scents. I love smelling like desserts! This gives you brownies, Vanilla and even a touch of popcorn. Layer this scent with Bilie Ellish EAP and you have a masterpiece. You're Welcome.

This smells just like brownie brittle! There’s a little bit of popcorn there too, but it’s not overpowering. It’s so yummy and I absolutely love it. Added to my wishlist after sampling.

I tested this out from the Best of 2024 sample pack and I was not disappointed! This is most definitely full bottle worthy as I don’t own a chocolate fragrance like this in my collection. This is mouth watering and dries down very nice to where it doesn’t smell too heady or overwhelmingly like food. I love it!

This smells exactly as advertised, and it’s mouthwatering! Sweet sticky brownie, but this isn’t just any old chocolate, the fun twist is the very realistic popcorn and caramel note. Smells absolutely divine on my skin, and is a whimsical and happy scent any gourmand lover would be proud to wear. The one downside is the longevity was very minimal, I feel like I lost the scent after about an hour. Still, it’s worth a sniff!

Absolutely beautiful scent and so long lasting. A couple of sprays last well into the next day. Super sweet but elevated. A TRUE GOURMAND COMPLIMENT GETTER. If you loved Escapade Gourmande and want to smell like chocolate ALL DAY, you’ll love this.

I’ll start by saying I'm unfamiliar with the original Escapade Gourmande, so Brownie Pop is brand new to me. I’ve tried it for about a week and I can say I really do like it and it’s unique. It is a nice popcorn, not movie theater butter, but sweeter. I believe the chocolate and sandalwood ease the popcorn & compliment it. I can’t say this is my favorite fragrance, nor is it projecting enough for my spouse to compliment it as he does others. I’ve been using it as a bedtime scent rather than for a “date night.”

This smells divine. It’s a beautiful chocolate gourmand, that isn’t over the top on the chocolate. Everything in this is blended together perfectly.
