On first whiff of the first spray I'll admit I didn't like it. Then I smelled it again and again. The champagne note at first smells a bit too vintage. But once it dries down, it smells less like a vintage perfume and started to remind me more of the kind of woman who would wear that perfume. I imagined Liz Taylor in that gorgeous slip with a drink in her hand. I wore this and felt like a WOM-AAAAN. As I wore it, it adjusted to me so well and it lasted a good amount of time on me. I would absolutely own this one.

Maggie the Cat is Alive! I’m Alive! instantly transported me. It reminded me of a Claire Burke room spray my mom used spicy, warm, and fresh all at once. That scent filled our home with elegance and comfort, and this perfume brings that same feeling rushing back. It’s intoxicating, nostalgic, and leaves you wanting more. Though I usually reach for gourmands, this chypre has me hooked. It sparkles with brightness yet settles into something rich and grounding. It’s complex but wearable sophisticated with a little edge.
