Onthamara combines the Thai words for “Ontha” or darkness/gloomy, and “Mara”, which means devil. The concept for Onthamara (or Darkness Devil) is an intensely mysterious, darkly feral animalic. It is a tribute to natural deer musk, and its origin. Onthamara is a spiced animalic fougere, with a twist of exotic and rare materials, such as coleus root absolute. The spice comes from Thai oud, resins, and a rare smoky amber fossil from an area of the Himalayas. A heavy dose of animalics serve as the main star of the scent, including Siberian deer musk, hyrax absolute, beeswax absolute, and castoreum. It will transport you to a dark ancient forest, surrounded by nocturnal animals.

What We Think
Does a 35-million-year-old amber fossil from the Himalayas have a scent? On its own, we can't say for certain, but there's a tiny bit of one in each bottle of Onthamara, a richly moody and atmospheric animalic scent from the always iconoclastic Prin Lomros. Rich with deep, earthy rootiness, foggy and hypnotic florals, carnal, cumin-heavy spice, and dank, oud-soaked woods, Onthamara is spooky and sexy in equal measure, a darkly compelling trip to a theme park after dark, when the characters come alive for real. What does amber fossil smell like? With all the complexity of Onthamara, it's hard to say for sure. But if it adds to this impossibly rich and captivating fragrance, we know we can't live without it.
