I would call this the prequel to Amouage's Guidance 46 by Quentin Bisch. Venenum Kiss has the creaminess and amplified skin scent without Guidance 46's woodiness and bitter elements. Venenum Kiss wants you to come closer and be subtly romantic like a gentle brush of finger tips, not the rose petals and chocolates. I pulled back on 5 stars because the staying power isn't there, but that's happens with something that reads more as a skin scent or perhaps I became nose blind.

Very strong fragrance, a little goes a long way, appropriate for night. Smells like a spicy floral at first but dries down to a gorgeous warm base. Sensual scent.

I'm not sure this one merits notes so much as stage directions -- ENTER, ACCOMPANIED BY TRUMPETS. Unapologetically big, unapologetically floral, with a lovely purring effect in the drydown. Probably not a day scent, unless your days are far more interesting than most.

I love this. It reminds me of a mellower Le Feu d'Issey (none of that initial bugspray smash some used to get, although Le Feu was very good on me.) One star off because I wish it lasted longer, but maybe I just sniffed it off my arm completely. Regardless, I wish I could afford to make this my new siggy. Thank you LS for offering an Ex Nihilo sampler set!
