As always, I don't smell the listed notes-- but I can smell how good this is........ This is truly what perfumery is all about.... Unexpected, unusual, fascinating, and beautiful.

I forget why I was moved to order this utterly forgettable scent. It smells like nothing in the beginning, then it turns into something that smells off, but I can't put my finger on what it is that is bothersome. It's not floral, fruity, musky, not plastic nor chemical. I'm at a loss for a description. I passed the bottle on to my mom and she didn't detect any notes whatsoever. All in all, a waste of money.

Based on the description, I thought I would be swept away by the scent. It literally smells like nothing at first. However, the longer it was on my skin, the more it developed and smelled terrible on me. I can't explain what the odor is that I found offensive, it wasn't floral, musky or even fruity. I passed this on to my mother and she wasn't able to detect any scent at all. So much for stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something new.

The opening notes were more powdery than fruit or floral to my nose, but the heart of this pretty thing is indeed a lipstick-and-suede conversation with a really nice amber accompanying. There's something deliciously old-fashioned about this one; imagine Marilyn Monroe giving it all up (except the pencil skirts) to become a librarian and you're on the right track.
