Very lightly smoky- nothing like Diptyque’s Feu de Bois for example. I was apprehensive about the clove, but fortunately I can’t smell it as an individual note. The combination of lemon and the other notes makes a really lovely tea accord. This is my first Nicolai candle and I will undoubtedly buy more. The candle does not have strong throw, which is fine as my husband doesn’t complain.
