Gentle, sweet, soft, pretty, feminine, and unoffensive. If those sweet nothings he whispered in your ear had a scent, this would be it.

Very musky, this should be called Douceur de Musc. The musk and powdery rose create a strong baby powder perfume. The vanilla-almond note reminds me of Calypso St. Barth Lea. This is overall a very enjoyable fragrance, there is just enough of a unique twist on the powdery cloud to make this scent stand out. Familiar, beautiful, and cozy. Just different enough to be alluring.

A very nice, powdery, sweet vanilla that I considered FB worthy. In fact, I like this and Oppoponax so much, I'm now eagerly looking forward to trying the other Les Nereides fragrances.

The more i wear this sample over time, the more I like and appreciate it. It's quite lovely. I still don't get much vanilla here but it's delicate and creamy, and sweet. It lasts for a long time on my skin and has good silage too. I think I may change my mind and actually go for the full bottle. Great for layering too.

Airy, very powdery and soft. I enjoy powdery scents but if you do not then you most likely won't like this perfume. It does rather open with the smell of baby wipes mixed with baby powder, only in a more feminine way. Then it gets less powdery/baby and becomes a nice skin scent. I don't get much vanilla here, more light, feminine powder than anything. I do enjoy it but not sure I'd actually buy it. There are other scents I feel are much more complex and more gorgeous.

Very, very light! Did not last on me at all. In fact, I could barely smell it while the sample was still wet on my arm! This is more of a light musky scent on me; a soft skin scent. I've had it on for a couple of hours now and can only get a tiny puff of it where I applied it. I was hoping for a much stronger vanilla!

I didn't notice the baby powder scent until I read the reviews...on me, this goes on as a soft floral-very understated and close to the skin. I get no cocoa from this, just white flowers and maybe some musk that morphs into a wonderful, light non foody vanilla...almost like the wild orchid type. This scent has foody elements but does not come across as foody or sweet at all. I don't get ice cream either. Once the vanilla comes forward, I also get an awesome almond...not the cherry or liquer type almond, but a very faint, very realistic dry almond. On my body chemistry, this is light and beautiful. It's a skin scent, not much thow but the faint vanilla almond lasts awhile. I absolutely hate the smell of baby powder, so don't write this one off because of that...as I said, I didn't read "powder" until I was influenced by the posts...I will be buying a bottle.

Be very wary if you're buying this perfume because you loved the sound of the notes as per Luckyscent (thats what i did) you will be very disappointed. This is all about a very powdery, almost musky floral with the faintest touch ever of something vanillery. Its not an offensive scent, but who wants to smell like baby powder?? this might be good if you work with kids or something like that, it smells like something a nice old lady would wear. It's just very linear and boring, smelt the same fron initial application to drydown. Reminds me of Jovan musk ( a cheap drugstore cologne). I can see why some girls would like this for a bedtime or 'cuddling' scent, but there are truly much better perfumes out there for that purpose which will NOT resemble baby powder eg. Lann'Ael.

Like fluffy white kitens, pristinely clean platinum blonde cherubic children, and fresh powdery sweet snowflakes. A very soft, feel good, inoffensive perfume. Have to agree with the baby powder comments, but sometimes I want to smell like an innocent nymph. This is one for the nice, kind ladies out there, those who are reknowned for their gentleness. I get more cuddles when I wear this, than any other fragrance, so if cuddles are what you desire, it's a must have. Not one for seduction time though!

It doesn't smell like vanilla at all, it smells more like baby powder, which is fine if you like the smell. A friend of mine thought the same thing. He said to me: Today you smell like a baby.

I think lucky*scent's description is very accurate. It's very pretty, and very feminine. To me, it is perfection... and i can't wait until i can purchase a full bottle. I just got my sample today... and i can't stop smelling my wrist. It is heavenly! It is very powdery like others have said... but if you like that... you will absolutely love this.. for sure. And if that isn't your thing... it just might convert you. I was 99.9% sure i could have bought the full bottle without sampling it first... based on other peoples reviews and lucky*scent's description. I should have trusted my instincts!

If you had a baby doll growing up that was scented to smell like a real baby, you will find this almost exactly like those dolls. Its a comforting scent going back to an age when saddlebags were a cowboys wardrobe item and crowsfeet were just a birds body part. Not an every day scent but good for a trip back to childhood memories. 4 stars

This does initially have a baby powder smell, but it's better. After hours of wear, i can smell a nice vanilla musk scent. i am very pleased with this scent and its staying power. i've done dishes and changed many diapers, yet i still smell nice, and it's not apalling to my husband who hates all perfumes.

I wasn't too excited about the description, but interested enough to sample it and I'm glad I did. What a wonderful surprise. A soft and alluring vanilla, that's clean and soft. Most vanilla's on me dry to an overpowering musky scent, but this was sweet and true to vanilla. Since I'm pregnant I'm super sensitive to fragrances, and this was a winner. Especially, when my husband liked it too.

Sheer comfort! Blends some of my most favorite things: a freshly bathed baby and vanilla ice cream dusted ever so lightly with cocoa powder. I'd prefer a perfume though, it fades a little too quickly.

I love this scent! it smells just like vanille coco from Ecoudray, so if your a fellow fan of Ecoudray you will love this, it does smell like baby powder but I like that feel like slipping into something soft and comfortable, but truly it smells like a wonderful bakery you can just sense smelling from down the street, or walking past the ice cream store and catching a breeze of cones and vanilla cream, it's not strong so if your looking for something strong in the vanilla and chocolate family, try amour de cacoa * from sephora.com

This goes on really powdery on me. It smells just like baby powder with a slight hint of vanilla. The powder scent fades with the drydown to a light vanilla. Overall, it is lovely but I doubt I would purchase. I like stronger vanilla scents like the La Maison line.

My first impression was pure baby powder - which I don't mind, but it wasn't exactly what i was looking for. After a few minutes, the vanilla shows up -- not a rich vanilla, a super light vanilla . I got a little almond, no cocoa whatsoever --on me it's mostly sweet vanilla and a little bit of rose. It is very soft and delicate and, though it doesn't stay nearly as powdery as it starts out (thank goodness) it is somewhat powdery. it's nice. It reminds me of Keiko Mecheri's Loukhoum - not nearly as strong or complex, obviously, but it's powdery and sweet in the same way. Like Loukhoum light. I'm not sure about this for myself, but my nieces would love it.

I saw this new fragrance on here the other day and I'm glad it came as one of the free samples with my order, because I was planning on ordering a sample. It goes on powdery, I can really smell the white rose and a little star aniseed when wet. It dries down to a soft creamy powder with a hint of almond. I really don't smell the vanilla or cocoa. I'm not one for powdery fragrances. If you like powdery fragrances this might be for you. If not, you might want to sample first. Sort of disappointed, not what I expected. :(
