Luckyscent Videos: BYREDO - Velvet Haze

Velvet Haze by BYREDO is this beautiful fragrance that's really patchouli forward. It's got a lot of patchouli, it's got cocoa powder, it's got coconut water, and this wonderful kind of mixture of clean musk in the base. I absolutely love it.

This is definitely in the slightly gourmand world but has a little bit of edge, has a little bit of earthiness, has a little bit of sexiness to it, I think. It gets compared a lot to Narciso Rodriguez. I'm not super familiar with that fragrance, but I do understand that they're very similar. It also gets compared a lot to Lalabella, which is a beautiful fragrance by Memo, which I've actually already reviewed.

However, the difference to me is Lalabella is a little bit more feminine, a little bit maybe more mature and sophisticated. The Narciso Ari is just a different kind of style. This, to me, captures all of the beautiful elements of that scent profile, but with just the BYREDO hip factor. It's so beautiful. I love it. I highly recommend checking it out.
