Cedre Noble

A walk from the parking area into the heart of the woods. The opening is cedar and smoke with that gasoline-asphalt note that lavender sometimes unleashes early in a scent. But that soon fades out, replaced by lavender’s clean sparkly aspect, a bit of moss (those “herbal notes” and probably the red thyme), and competing wood notes coming and going. There’s a nice bitterness that I suspect is the wormwood, and the entire production dries down to a slightly damp, slightly salty cedar, like taking a seat on a nurse log in the middle of the forest. Large and lovely work.
