Tubereuse Astrale is an absolutely intoxicating tuberose fragrance from Maison Crivelli. This scent was inspired by the founder's experience watching the stars in the summertime and getting a waft of warm tuberose fragrance in the evening. This really captures the lush and romantic quality of that image so beautifully.

However, this isn't just a pure tuberose fragrance, it's got a little bit of a leathery and spiced quality to it. There's a lot of vanilla bark in here and I love that they describe it as vanilla bark because it really has that kind of woody, warm quality to the spice as well.

Like all of the extrades from Maison Crivelli, this fragrance is very strong. It lasts forever and it projects beautifully. When you're smelling it up close, you really get more of that kind of mineralic, salty leather musk that has become kind of a signature for the brand.

If you're looking for a big, sensual floral with a little bit of an unexpected spicy twist, I would definitely check out Tubereuse Astrale.

This scent is absolutely stunning. If you're a tuberose fan and a fan of spicy, leathery, warm scents, this is a perfect blend of the two. I'd describe it as a fall/winter tuberose which I never imagined I'd find. Obsessed.

I fell in love with this and was not expecting to. A sweet and smooth scent with a touch of spice. Immediate purchase for me. Wouldn't blind buy obviously, but would definitely try it out. Hear me out. While this doesn't smell like Babycat, if you like that complex mix of notes that sounds like they might not work but do, I would give this a try. Same feeling, but different smell.

On skin, it’s beautiful and apparently can be layered with something like Guidance or Gentle Fluidity (G) but there’s a note in there that’s not matching the vibes. Might be the Cistus Absolute. Definitely not a bubblegum-my Tuberose. It’s more flesh like and narcotic in nature. The leather is super calm here and the cinnamon is dusty yet fleeting. Not a love but definitely a like. Will take more time to decide.
