Wavechild by Room 1015 is an ode to surfing. I'm not a surfer, but I want to be one. I'm super obsessed with the whole idea of being by the ocean and smelling like the sea and the salt air, and I absolutely get that. However, the first thing you're going to smell when you spray Wavechild is this incredible watermelon note. Yes, watermelon. And I get a bit of like a Jolly Rancher watermelon, like almost like a candied watermelon at first.

But what happens when you put this on skin is that watermelon stays fruity and fresh and watery and pretty, but it sort of calms down a little, at least on me. The candy scent kind of softens. You get the ocean breeze, the ocean water. You get a little hint of like freshly squeezed citrus. You get this creamy coconut. I almost get like an orange blossom. This is just so refreshing. It's so pretty. It's fun and playful.

When I wear this, I cannot stop smelling myself. I love how I smell. I feel like it lasts a long time in a really lovely way where I get sort of like whiffs of it in and out. I think this is maybe the best watermelon scent I've smelled, and it is just so beautiful. And if you're obsessed with the ocean and summertime scents, I feel like you definitely should try Wavechild.

Im torn. On one hand the sunny, bright (and surprisingly fresh) opening made me smile and garnered compliments, but on the other was at odds with my more minimal (think eccentric 01 by escentric molecules) scent persona. The fresh notes were so nicely crafted that they didnt feel as teeny-bopperish as one would imagine. Hanging out with my sample, pretending to be someone else for a while will tell me whether this is my next scent chapter. It'd be a hell of a turn around for the books!

A Watermelon Jolly Rancher and an Apple Jolly Rancher had a baby and....voila!! Fun, sweet and summery and delicious. It is like a bouncy, oily teenager ready to giggle and mingle. And although I am well past my teen years, my husband really liked this one on me haha! I have the sample and don't think I'd buy it, since I personally prefer to smell expensive or classy.

It's like my B&BW collection from the late 90searly 00s has been waiting 25+ years to jump out at me from the shadows. I don't smell the citrus or the aquaticozone notes, which I am sorely missing. It's a fluffy, musky amber base that almost overpowers the very synthetic fruit notes and makes this scent rather heavy. At the end of the day, it doesn't smell like something worth $155 a bottle. I think you could still probably find a B&BW scent that smells substantially similar for much less money. Sometimes you just want to smell like fruit, but there are cheaper ways to do it. Get a travel spray for like $40, but anything larger than that isn't worth it, in my opinion. 610.

Five stars no notes. No one could dislike this. The opening is a little bit watermelon Jolly Rancher, but settles down quickly. Once it does, it keeps just enough of that sweet and sour bite to be mouthwatering without evoking candy. It is simple, aquatic, and lightly sweet. I don't really pick out the coconut, and luckily it doesn't take the fragrance into sunscreen territory at all. All of the notes are clearly meant to mirror and deepen the profile of the watermelon, not to stand out on their own. This is a watermelon fragrance through and through.

Now that it is warmer, this fruity light scent is calling to me. If Harry Styles' Watermelon Sugar song had a scent, it would be this. I wear when I want to feel more surfs up within myself.

This is the first watermelon scent that I have actually enjoyed! This scent feels like summer in a bottle. It definitely is very fruity, and someone said it smells like a watermelon Jolly Rancher, which I do agree with. But nonetheless, I really enjoyed this one. The citrus is strong in the beginning. On my skin, it smelled much more masculine in the opening, and as it dried down, it became more unisex-fem. The watermelon definitely lingers the longest. I am adding this to my buy list, but I wish it was not as expensive as it is...

I sure wish I could have enjoyed Wavechild. Initially, I did get some beguiling watermelon and citrus notes, but right after that, it veered into generic men's aftershave territory on me. Fortunately, it was undetectable in about forty minutes. It has to be my skin chemistry because this stuff smells fantastic in the sample vial. I'm going to hold on to the sample, and see if Wavechild and I can someday end our olfactory estrangement. It will be amazing in hot weather, that's for sure!

Must have. Popular for a reason. Summer in a bottle. I don't know anything else that resembles this perfume. That first hit of watermelon... pfff what a moment of happiness. Then the perfume develops into a somewhat lovely hot summer day.

Smells like you’re laying on the beach in the summer heat after eating some sweet, juicy watermelon and the ocean breeze is wafting up the warm sand carrying the smell of someone’s expensive sunscreen. Your hands are still sticky from the watermelon juice and the cool salty breeze is blowing your hair while you sip on a Capri Sun. This smells like a beach day in a bottle! So yummy and almost nostalgic. Definitely full bottle worthy for the summer.

I love this playful fruity smell. The scent last and just gets juicer as you wear it. I thought the opening was going to be more citrusy, but you can really smell the watermelon note. My new favorite summer scent

Amazing fragrance. Summer vibes. The watermelon is so sweet and fresh! To have a watermelon note that’s very realistic in a fragrance and to last throughout the fragrance is actually amazing. Very long lasting. I’d say good 6 to 8 hours on the skin. And on clothes longer. Sillage is great too. I’d say on hot summer days, it’ll perform much better. Great summer gourmand!

A diluted Suave watermelon kids' shampoo - I was so excited to try this one, but sadly it did not live up to my expectations. Don't get me wrong, it smells nice - however, it's not nearly as elevated and complex as people have hyped it up to be. This is a light (very synthetic) watermelon Jolly Rancher scent, people's first thought would be "oh, is that Bath & Body Works?" (in fact I prefer bath and Body & Works' Watermelon Lemonade scent over this hah)
