Michael Pickthall

Michael Pickthall was a senior perfumer at IFF, who along with his brother Terence, a senior accountant, left their respective firms to found their own group, Contemporary Perfumers Limited (CPL). CPL has since grown to become the largest privately owned fragrance house in the United Kingdom, with subsequent generations of Pickthalls have taken leadership roles in the still family-run company. Michael and Francis Pickthall have both been heavily involved in the development of fragrances for renowned British perfume house Penhaligon’s.
