This is so warm, so spicy, like a cocoon that I just want to live in. Definitely for Fall/Winter, but I'm wearing it at night in May and it's beautiful. This was the first perfume my daughter ever fell in love with years ago and she was nice enough to give me a decant this past week. It's very classic French perfumery, upscale and blended magnificently. I love the warmth and spices, but I also love the sweet juiciness I get from the blackcurrant. I wish I got tuberose, but I don't. I also don't get fig or papyrus and I'm thankful for that because I don't like them. The woods in this are particularly gorgeous to me. This smells feminine to me. If you are a perfume lover, male or female, you have to try this at least once!

I received this eau de toilette as a sample from Lucky Scent and was utterly disappointed. The scent is nice but it does not last. This is all the more frustrating that Dyptique is known for candles that last longer than average! Could this eau de toilette have worked better on a skin different than mine? Maybe.

First--I have an odd skin chemistry. Second, the base that Diptyque uses always comes through on me, and it is generally sharp. The white-lidded version was shrill and linear on me, so I decided to try this black-topped one. It is supposed to be deeper. Sadly, on me, it is loud, brassy, metallic, and sharp. Linear. Smells exactly the same way for hours and hours. Good lasting power, though. I wanted to love this, but it is not for me. It may be wonderful on you.

Relaxing, allspice, cardamom, and vanilla cream perfume. Behind it, a light dose of fir woods. I can't detect any rose at all. I enjoy this scent, however it's too comforting to be exciting, and it also smells a bit like Christmas.
