Here's what other people are saying about La Douceur de Siam...
This is one of the most beautiful and wearable rose fragrances! More of a summer fragrance and looking forward to wearing it!

The rose, violet, and ylang-ylang are ever present from start to finish. Wonderful balance of florals with a new flower coming into it's own as the one before finishes. La Douceur de Siam starts out strong with the violet and ylang-ylang with a the Champa flower in the background and eventually fades to vanilla rose. I enjoyed every re-application of my sample and found new notes to adore. Longevity is around 6 hours.

Before I commit to a bottle of perfume that breaks the bank at over $200. I need my socks to be blown off and it needs that moment in that movie "Perfume" where Giuseppe Baldini smells Jean-Baptiste Grenouille first creation and he is transported to a beautiful memory of smell. This perfume does that for me. I grew up on Guam. I lived on the military base and there were these well establish plumeria and ylang-ylang trees. I would pick the flowers climb to my rooftop and make lei's there all alone. When I first smelled this glorious concoction I was immediately transported to that time. This is so creamy and lovely and elegant. I do smell a hint of rose, not much but it is there. Love at first sniff. Luckyscent you got me on this one!

Zesty tropical lushness, masterly blended. Hard to pick apart, but what a cheery AND sophisticated this one is. I bought it for wife and she loves it, and now I'm compelled to explore what else they have, that I could take fancy at. My wishlist is growing and I'll need a second job soon. But I'll pick a minor quibble - the bottle is so tightly set in a very nice box with poetry verse, that a string that's there to help you get it out, snapped after a few pulls. So wife first opened a her present and found a perfume box, and actually tried it on 10 or so minutes later, when we finally managed to tease the bottle out of it's resting place in the box. At this price I expect everything to be just right. Otherwise, perfect.

I fell in love with the sample of this perfume. Hands down 5 stars. My 9-year-old daughter described it as, "So pretty but with a FANCY finish!" My mom bought me a bottle in the summer. I'd used the sample in the winter. The bottle was NOTHING like the sample; it was all rose. I waited and tried it in the winter, and still no fancy finish. :( Happy ending: I actually wrote an e-mail to Luckyscent about this, and after SIX MONTHS, they offered to test the bottle. The results of the test were that it was the right concoction, but they agreed that the woody finish wasn't as prevalent as they remembered. They offered a refund!!!!! Can you believe that? I took a credit instead to feed my perfume sample addiction, but what a great company.

What an intoxicating scent this one! I will say, I don't get any vanilla out of this, but the florals with the spicy clove are to die for. This on my skin wasn't sweet or sticky, or really very tropical for that matter. It is more of a sumptuous floral that smells, well, really expensive. I distinctly pick up the Champaca note in this fragrance, which I find is stronger than the rose or frangipani. Sillage is moderate but also inviting, it isn't obnoxious at all. I am deducting one star because the longevity was poor in my opinion. Unlike other reviewers, on me it nly lasted 2 hours, maybe 3 and for the price, that's unacceptable.

This was not what I expected. On me, it is a rose fragrance, first and foremost, and a beautiful one. It opens with a grand rose surrounded by something almost citrusy-tart. That stays for a while, then all the other notes appear here and there but seem somehow distant to the rose. It really is a "soft" perfume but not at all a skin scent. It gets noticed! La Douceur de Siam is also a bit of a chameleon, which keeps it interesting. Lasted 12+ hours.
