At first I was indifferent to this but one day when I wanted something simple I reached for my sample and I fell in love with it. It's a background smell, pleasant, confident but never that laundry or baby powder smell of many synthetic musks. It won't offend anyone, it's not sexually enticing, it's not out to make a statement, it doesn't speak for you, it's not sickeningly sweet, it's just sort of there, being warm and calm. I like it a lot now and I want my own bottle.

I want this. I have absolutely no business owning this, because I own nothing by Cartier and I don't drive a Bugatti. Yes, at first, it is overwhelming. The florals, the powder, the musk just bam! smacks my nose around. Fifteen minutes or so in, it becomes the smoothest, most well-blended frag my little old self has ever snuffed. Not skanky at all. I just keep sniffing and sniffing and sniffing. There's musk in there...I know it, but she's so blended. Just dances and weaves through the florals and powder. Sweet enough to make my mouth water...deep enough to keep me interested. I want this for my own. Mona, why did you have to leave us?

I'm in love with this fragrance. It started out a teensy bit soapy and not particularly interesting but that disappeared after perhaps the first 30-60 minutes. As the day wears on, the perfume stays on and I am in love with the smell of myself, it has developed into something incredibly warm and luscious, and definitely not too sweet. I bought this as part of the Mona Di Orio Discovery Set and I will be sad when my Musc bottle runs out.

Nothing but baby powder. I can't stand the smell of baby powder.

Heliotrope goes to dusty sawdust on me, and that's all folks! No development, and I can't find the musk either. On others it must be a masterpiece. Four stars for what it is by ingredients and quality...but not on me.

Musc is an absolute delight to the senses. Not clean, not dirty musc but skin like - just rounded , GREAT quality of ingredients. I am in love. :)

Not what one would expect from the creator of fragrances such as Nuit Noire, Carnation, etc. This is pretty, very much like L'Eau d'Hiver, soft and delicate. Innocent, comforting and cuddly. I almost want to describe it as Love's Baby Soft for grown-ups. Very nice.

Finally! I've found my musk! I am one of the many people anosmic to most musks - can't even smell Luten's MKK or FM's MR, but THIS beauty lets me finally understand what the musk party can be like! I don't ever want to be without a bottle or two of this gem, it is the MOST comforting scent I've ever experienced. The florals are a beautiful blend that makes this even softer. The sillage is great and it lasts for days, especially on fabric.

Ok...where is the Rose? The Neroli? The helitrope overwhelms the other notes. All powder on musk, nothing but powder:(

Of all the samples I just received, this was the first one I tried. It is way too feminine for me, but I tend not to wear dresses, lol. On the right woman, this would be stunning and beautiful. Four stars simply because I love it but can't wear it.

I'm so happy that LS is carrying this line. I hope they consider adding Mona's 7 other fragrances as well. I rec'd my 3 samples today & immediately loved the Ambre on paper but since it's so hot I tried this on (Cuir is really quite smokey, but again that's just from smelling it on paper). Musc is very nice but I'm not detecting much musk. What it smells like to me is a lighter, brighter L’Eau d’Hiver. The heliotrope is quite present. I'll have to spend more time w/this but I do like it-it's just not what I thought it would be given the name.
