This is the Incense Rori Attar from Amouage. Attars are really beautiful, very special fragrances that are pure fragrant oils. There's no alcohol in here. So this is a tradition that comes out of the Middle East. The materials in this bottle are unparalleled, so beautiful. This one particularly features frankincense as well as a touch of cedarwood and oak moss.

I smell a little bit of black pepper myself, but it might be a combination of other things that give that impression. So when you wear an Attar, you barely put it on. I'm talking half a drop on my wrist, and it'll stay until tomorrow. It's incredibly long-lasting.

I wear this on its own. It's incredibly meditative, very beautiful. But I also like to layer. If I wear something bright and breezy on top of this gorgeous incense and woods combination, it just sings. I can't recommend more highly Incense Rori.

Incense Rori feels like building an altar to the temple of dreams - not that it smells like any of these things individually, but the way someone in a dream can be your mother even if they look nothing like her, the golden balsamic woodiness conjures walnut and mulberry and rosewood the creamy gentle spice suggests whipped orange blossom honey, marigold-infused sandalwood attar, ink perfumed with clove and honey and musk. Applied before sleep and still whispering the next afternoon, it becomes a nightly ritual for dream incubation, precious enough to justify its price not for special occasions but because sleep itself is the special occasion, the potent pantheon of dreams deserving its own sacred preparations

Perfectly sublime. Lasts more than 12 hours. If I could afford it, I would wear it everyday. Instead, I save it for special occasions.
