Here's what other people are saying about Royal Vintage...
Beautiful old style masculine woody aromatic offering from Micallef. The perfume opens with notes of pink pepper and bergamot. The heart is a dense cypress with a touch of leather. The perfume dries into a powdery patchouli and musk with the cypress note prominently hovering in the background. Masculine leaning perfume with moderate projection and good longevity. Timeless yet modern and very classy. Enjoy!

Micallef fragrances are really hit or miss with me. This one, although not a winner, is really a very nice and well done fragrance. It really smells like a better version of Creed Aventus. Less fruity than the latter, too. Slightly smokey and mysterious from the patchouli, you get the warmth from the leather, and subtle spicy wood from the cypress and the depth from the musk. It;s very nice, very wearable, a rather "safe" fragrance if you ask me, and definitely better than the Aventus and almost half the price too!

Royal Vintage is Royal Greatness. Not so much unique as it does smell similar to Creed's Aventus however the dry down is different and bolder. Royal Vintage has a smokier, leathery dry down that settles pleasantly on my skin. One thing I like particularly about Royal Vintage over Aventus is that I still get some of the top bergamot notes hours after my initial application. Gentleman, Royal Vintage is a lady killer. Had a woman compliment me and asked what I was wearing.

If you like the smokey quality of Creed's Aventus, then you will really enjoy this one. I find it to be very similar with the exception of a missing pineapple note. Otherwise, about the same. Still a beautiful fragrance worth checking out.

This is a wonderful new effort from M. Micallef, and we all know hers can be a hit or miss(ie. the repackaging of Emir from her husbands brand--not any better under her name). And, the description is dead on. Kudos to Luckyscent.
