I feel this would be a lovely scent on someone else. My skin tends to make amber notes very musty and I don't like it. Despite that, this is an interesting scent if you like nostalgic, sophisticated scents. It smells like something ancient but not dead. Overall, it's quite nice.

Calls to mind wistfulness, sentimentality, and a longing for home. I guess it would be a good scent to wear if you were feeling melancholy.

Just perfect! A wonderful blend of togetherness in two scent notes. Do not hesitate if you like 'statement perfumes' with unquieness. I get tired of all scents smelling the same and this one is by far all on its own in a alluring perfect way.

It hit me with a lot of roses, tea, and chocolate(?) off the top but settles down to a lovely old rose finish with a sandalwood backbone...

My boyfriend summed this up succinctly: grandma with an edge. Meh.

I really love this scent! I love the soft rose that starts it off, and the wonderful earthy/woody dry down. It doesn't stick on me for very long, though.

Spicy, unusual, wood-laced rose. This ties with Hana-Cha as my favorite of the line. It's warm and comforting, but also complex.

Update... this is divine when layered with Crazylibellule and the Poppies' Encens Mystic!

Lovely... light but warm and inviting. It's almost all rose upon application, but the amber and sandalwood appear in the drydown. What you're left with is a warm, spicy floral that is never overpowering. I haven't tried it in warm weather, but it's nice and cozy for a cold winter day.

I adore this fragrance--the incense-y base perfectly balances the flowery top notes. It is a dry, sultry rose, not a bright, flirty one. My only complaint is that it does not last on me. If it were a bit stronger, I would definitely buy a full bottle.

For the rose lover, which I am. But, the rose fragrance must be done in the right way, which this is. 'Nobara-Cha' is not sweet with rose. It is seductive and earthy with a hint of incense. Beautifully done!

The only nostalgic images for me are sniffing cheap drugstore perfume as a teenager.

This scent is so evocative of nostalgia...if you ever saw the movie "Henry & June", it recalls the fictionalized life of Anais Nin. When I put this on, I immediately visualized certain scenes from this film. This perfume makes me want to get out my cut velvet shawl and wander in a park or go see a foreign film, read Dostoevsky and drink coffee all day. And some company would be nice too.

Lovely and soft. I stayed away from this for the longest time, thinking it would be overpowering, but it's such a gentle haunting fragrance.

What a lovely, feminine scent. I feel all pink and girly wearing this but it is also sophisticated too. Perfect with that Chanel black dress. A very lovely spicy rose with the special addition of a subtle tea scent.

I love this. It smells so unique. I really notice the smell warm tea in this. I don't think this is old lady at all, I think its lovely and very different, a nice change from the ordinary rose scent. I ordered 10 samples and of them all this is my favorite!!!!

This is rich smelling scent with culture appeal.I wear it and feel like I should be darning a beautiful Kimono. You can really smell the amber and sandalwood together.Just wonderful!

What a wonderful surprise - I'm not a floral type person, and this one really was delightful. Rose, spice (sort of like carnation but softer), gentle, not sweet, sticky or syrupy, or dry, dusty or powdery. Very, very nice - especially if you are a floral gal, or really love roses. Something so different and divine about this one!

Old-lady and incense on me, but then dries down softer. Sandalwood was the strongest note on my skin and I am not a fan of sandalwood.

The FIRST rose-baed scent that I've found that doesn't smell or "feel" old-lady like. This is quite wonderful!
