Trust the ever-creative Pierre Guillaume to find new angles on well-known notes. His “Ashes of tea” turns the Chinese brew into a spiky blend of cedar and ho wood – aka shiu wood or cinnamomum camphora, which doesn’t actually smell of cinnamon or camphor, but rather floral. Myrrh and cardamom stoke the fire of this near-flammable blend with their resinous facets. Cendres de Thé is a dryly elegant, masculine fragrance.
