Damarose is a classic rose chypre, a type of fragrance known for its balance of seduction and poise. The finest quality ingredients, including Turkish rose absolute and Sambac jasmine absolute are crafted into the composition with a twist with freesia and red fruit. As a result, Damarose's heart radiates a spicy lusciousness, cradled in velvety patchouli and precious woods, and deepened with sensual amber and musk, mimicking skin.

Damarose is a lovely, soft, romantic type rose. A little old fashioned. Wears close to the skin. However, it does not have great longevity (about 2-3 hours at the most for me and that's with several drops) Xerjoff's pricing is aspirational indeed. At c.$200, a bottle would be in my collection right now. The scent would get 5 stars.... the pricing would get zero stars...it's "gouge-tastic"....so I'll compromise and give it 3.

This is a lovely scent, but 30 minutes after applying, I can't smell it at all, even when I hold my hand directly to my nose. Maybe it's just the sample. It isn't noteworthy enough to make me really want it, considering all the other damask-like roses out there, and the staying power is really not acceptable.
