This opens with a lemon that is so sharp and bright and shiny that it practically slaps you in the face and yells at you to get on with your life. Squeaky clean and relentlessly invigorating— this is like a cartoon lemon. At first. Then the dazzling sunniness subsides and a gentle blend of angelica, incense, musk and vetiver are revealed. A blend that is very… well … lemony, but in a different way. Spare and dry and ethereal. The shiny, enamel bright, pop art lemon gives way to an airy, meditative, lemon-tinged cloud that is still strikingly clean and refreshing, but speaks in much softer tones.
