Nasomatto’s own description of this scent explains it as, “…a quest for the overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power.” Well, now! How can we top that? Narcotic Venus is indeed intensely feminine, a no-holds-barred buttery and sweetly rich tuberose. It isn’t cutesy or giggly…it plants one high heeled foot down on the ground and announces its presence with a flourish. There are very few fragrances we’d label absolute and total mankillers, and this is one of them. It doesn’t apologize for its outright femininity or try to hide it…it’s out there, one hip thrust out, chin in the air, eyes flashing and celebrating the devastating beauty of the sweet, white tropical flowers that inhabit it. If you love the scent of rich tropical florals ruled by tuberose, you need to add Narcotic Venus to the top of your must try list.

There is somehting so intriguing about this parfum. It is a beautiful floral scent, but with a hard chemical edge to it...hence it's name. When you first put it on, I would say it is a cold floral. Like the jasmin, tuberose, and lily have all been frozen...their warmth hidden under the ice. However, after the dry down, the rich floral scents escape and become prominent. The chemical coldness never goes away, but continues to catch your attention throughout the day. I gave four stars for the price versus quantity and I wish it lasted a little bit longer.

Opening reminds me of perfume I had as a teenager. I think it was called Sand and Sable. It dries down differently though. Its nice, but not spectacular. I like Beyond Love much better.

this is NOT sarassins - this is steely, aluminum-edged white flowers, cutting you open with their intoxicating beauty - this pierces through you - all you naysayers need to wait for the drydown, this is gorgeous

on me it is bursting tuberose, sensual, elegant, fine. then comes the "spice", ie, frankincense - heady, strong, yet still floral... this is a special kind of juice.

I had to try this because of the name, & the description of it as "an absolute & total manslayer", but I was a little disappointed. It's a nice warm tuberose, the jasmine is there, followed by lily & spices, with a musky drydown, but I expected it to knock my socks off & it didn't, plus it doesn't last long enough for me. Too bad!

I've just tried this fragrance for the first time this morning. At first, I thought what a lovely, sexy tuberose. And then the dry down came... And for a while I could not remember what this scent reminded me of, but I knew it was something I had before. Then, someone here mentioned Michael Kors and that was it! This scent is almost dead-on Michael Kors. This is ok, but not my kind of tuberose..

I dont tpotally agree people comparing Narcotic Venus with Fracas or Carnal Flower. Yes, they do have in common the tuberose scent. It looks that all those perfumes are there to show the beauty of tuberose but yet in very different ways. Fracas is buttery tuberose, Carnal Flower tuberose is very intense, with green notes. I guess I would call it "icy". Up to the end it keeps the freshness & greeniness of flower. And Narcotic Venus is mixed with lilies. It is intense but not as green and it has other flowers accompanying the aroma. It has this indolic effect and I really like it. It looks to me that tuberose is in the glass of vodka. It has this sharpness & weirdness which is excellent to my taste. I love the difference and the fact that it is different to Fracas & to Carnal Flower.

I'm surprised no one has compared this to Michael Kors - it smells very much like it and is heavy on the tuberose. It also has a drydown that reminds me of Comet cleanser and a slight rubber band smell. It is, sadly, quite ordinary. Too bad - great name!

I love this line of perfume...well all but this one! It's a very heady, cloying tuberose...sweet and overpowering! If you just can't get enough of heav tuberose scents then you'll love it, but I can only take tuberose in small amounts.

I really wanted to like this because of the wonderful reviews and Luckyscent description. I hated it. It started off smelling like nail varnish and jasmine. The dry down was a mix between sweat and spices. Definitely NOT for me.

Simply Stunning! I find it especially lovely due to the overall sweet tone and the total flower IMPACT. It packs a solid floral punch yet carries it off with a feminine sweetness and charm. I don;t see any badgirl image here, Although tuberose is the main player, backed up with jasmine, there is a surprising lack of any real indolic notes here. This would be the perfect WEDDING fragrance. - Just Lovely!

Absolutely beautiful, lush. And the drydown is intoxicating. This is not a relatively linear fragrance like Estee Lauder's Private Collection entry. I have not enjoyed floral fragrances in the pastl. (My favorites are the oriental, gourmand and a few florientals.)

The florals in this perfume are very sweet, bright and, to my nose, overwhelming, with the tuberose racing to the forefront. To me, this perfume smells almost identical to Estée Lauder's Collection Privée Tuberose Gardenia. I think this is actually a really wonderful perfume, but it is certainly not me. It is achingly feminine, in an extremely polished way, to the point of untouchable, to the point of being unsexy. I think you must be of a certain age to really pull this scent off. As a twenty-something, I just can't get behind it. It wears me. The lasting power is excellent.
